Hi,
My name is Lauren, and I'm having a bad day.
I don't even think "bad" is the right word.
I feel like ever since I woke up this morning I've felt anxious. I'm even feeling so as I type this.
I feel like every little thing today is making me anxious, and there's nothing extraordinary about today.
I just feel anxious.
I'm feeling a way I know God doesn't want me to feel.
Is anyone else feeling or have felt like this?
Is anyone else having a bad day?
maybe a couple of bad days
couple of bad months
years?
I'm here to tell you that that is okay.
It's okay to have a bad day.
We're all going to have them whether we like it or not.
I know it's frustrating because I'm frustrated.
Maybe you're sick.
Maybe you've lost your job.
Maybe you're in a situation right now that you don't like.
Maybe school is overwhelming.
Maybe you're grieving a loss.
Maybe you're a tired parent.
Maybe you're like me, and you don't know why you're having a bad day
you just are
Whatever your circumstance, God is bigger.
I know, it's so easy to say.
It's so easy to read.
However, when we get in a slump or slumps we need to cling to our faith.
That might mean picking up your Bible
That might mean simply putting on worship music.
That might mean listening to a Christian podcast.
That might mean praying to God straight up.
Journaling your thoughts
It all depends on what you feel works best for you in this moment and whatever you're dealing with.
when you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
Isaiah 43:2
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Romans 12:12
it's okay
to have a bad day.

Thank you, Lauren! I appreciate your blog today. It's not always easy to share the way we feel, but I'm like you, I can relate to those plain old bad days. Thank you for reminding us to CLING to our faith. That scripture you included is perfect in Isaiah 43:2. As soon as I read it, I know everything will be better. Thank you for reminding us to find that scripture, song, or prayer to raise us out of a slump! I just need small reminders like this along the way as well. Thanks for sharing your blog about faith to help us get through hard days. Chante'
